The Pawn is the usually the smallest piece on the
chess board and it does not have much value when compared to other chess pieces.
Further the little chess piece has very limited movement options; it is frustrating
at times, that once a pawn begins its forward charge, it cannot even retreat to
correct an initial mistake. This might just be the reason why in most games,
the pawn ends up being sacrificed easily, without much thought.
In a game, the pawn has no chance on its own,
it always must be protected by another piece if it must be secure. Though not
immediate, its strength and value increases with every forward movement. Amazingly
the pawn is the only chess piece that can transform into either a queen, bishop,
knight, or rook when it reaches the opponents final line.
Like a pawn your life or business might not
have much of a chance for survival, you may not be regarded as being able to achieve
anything with your life or your business, you may not even have any resources at
your disposal to start with. At this point you will need to draw as much from the
near to nonexistent security and support available otherwise, you will not be
able to survive if you choose to stand on your own.
Your strength is in keeping focused and moving forward.
You cannot afford to retreat, even though there exist no restrictions from making
such a choice, save for the consequences that might result as the opportunity
or gap of opportunity you currently occupy might not be guaranteed if you
retreat. Remember, you are not the only player on the life board, another pawn
or even bigger piece might cease the opportunity.
As you mature in your life and your business,
you score success, and you choose what you want to be. No longer a little pawn!
But an established achiever and goal getter who, never gave up despite them not
having much of a chance when they started out.
